We actively look for opportunities to engage with in the local community and contribute to charitable events regularly. Here are just some of the organisations we have helped:
The NSPCC lobbies the government on issues relating to child welfare and creates campaigns for the general public with the intention of raising awareness of child protection issues. It operates a helpline for anyone concerned about a child. www.nspcc.org.uk
Cancer Research UK is a cancer research and awareness charity. Its aim is to reduce the numbers of deaths from cancer and as the World’s largest independent cancer research charity it conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Cancer Research UK’s work is almost entirely funded by the public, raising money through donations, legacies, community fund raising, events and corporate partnerships.
Over the years we have assisted local schools, scout groups, village fairs and children’s football teams.
Since 2013 Arnold Plant Hire Ltd have run two JCB Teletruks within the hire fleet in the livery of the NSCPCC (Green) and CANCER RESEARCH UK (Pink). All hire profits for these two machines are donated to the relevant charities on a 6 monthly basis. We have topped up these donations by running charity based competitions at corporate events, for example, ‘beat the pro’ at our recent 25th Anniversary Golf Day.
