As part of the Westgate Group, we give back to the communities where we live and work.
How do we help?
Organisations the group has helped
Across the Westgate Group (westgateholdings.co.uk), we are regularly involved with local and national charities and good causes. We actively look for opportunities to engage with the local community and contribute to charitable events.
Since 2013 our sister company in the group, Arnold Plant Hire Ltd, has run two JCB Teletruks within its hire fleet in the liveries of the NSPCC (green) and Cancer Research UK (pink). All hire profits from these two machines are donated to the relevant charity every six months, and the group tops up these donations with charity competitions at corporate events, such as ‘beat the pro’ at a 25th anniversary golf day.
From our values
What we’ve done
We’ve supported our communities by providing equipment, time, and services to local schools, councils, and community groups; supplying tools and machinery for public events; funding and maintaining defibrillators; and contributing to grassroots and humanitarian projects both in the UK and overseas.
- Funded and maintain three public defibrillators in Bredbury, Camborne, and Davenham.
- Donated machinery to support improvements at Davenham Primary School.
- Raised funds for Ukraine aid via an employee-led concert.
- Supported guide dog training with the director’s hands-on support.
- Provided equipment for a local carnival.
- Supplied platforms for Christmas tree installations.
- Organised events raising money for: NSPCC, Cancer Research UK, St. Luke’s Hospice, Access to Business, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Noah's Ark Children's Hospice, Royal British Legion.
Local community
Over the years, businesses across the group have assisted local schools, scout groups, village fairs and children’s football teams. Closer to home, H&C crews helped with the flood clean-up over Christmas 2015.
